Curriculum for sale
I moved to Ona from PA two years ago. I homeschooled my own children, and now both are in college. I also taught in the public and Christian schools through the years. My collection of books and other equipment is extensive. I would like to regain the space and am interested in selling everything cheaply! I have all the common names – A Beka, Exploring Creation, Jacob’s Algebra, Matin Latin, Spelling Power, etc. I would be happy to bring everything to a meeting or welcome anyone to my house to look over my collection. Please pass on my e-mail address to others who may be interested. Thank you for helping me to clear the clutter!

Baseball
You are invited to join us at the Barboursville Park on the 1st Tuesday of each month to play ball....with the emphasis on PLAY. This is open to all homeschool students. The older ones can help, teach, & encourage (& show off to) the younger ones. The time decided for now is 11am to 1pm because of the heat. So bring a lunch & water, ball gloves & bats.
There is a small shelter with tables at the field, bathrooms close by, & grass for the very small kids to play on. There are also playgrounds close by that you can drive to.
It's mainly a time for the kids to get together & have fun. We grown-ups will have time to visit (& instruct, & cheer them along).
Since May is so busy, it begins June 3. Then July 1, August 5, September 2, October 1.
Please e-mail me to let me know you are coming: mljavance@yahoo.com. We'd love to see you there!

This is the last project day of this year. Everybody came prepared to do outdoor projects and there were some really awsome ones done. This is just a few. I'm sorry I didn't get pictures of them all.

This was the last roller skating session this year. Skating will resume in September.

Spring Band Concert
T.H.E.M.E.S. Homeschool band will be having a spring concert at Christ the King Lutheran Church located on Rt. 60E, Monday, May 5, 2008 at 7:00 pm. If your child is interested in joining the band next year this would be a great time to come and check them out. They will be taking sign ups.
There will also be a couple of homeschool graduates this year, so if you have a teen that is graduating this year this would be a great time to come and honor them.
If your child can play an instrument and would like to perform for everybody, they are welcome. If your child would like to perform or you have any questions please contact Sue Hovemeyer at 429-4437.
End of Year Potluck Picnic
Our picnic will be at Barboursville Park, Friday, May 9,2008. It will start around noon. We will meet at the first shelter on the right after you go over the hill and pass the ampitheater. The same place we ususlly have it. Please bring your favorite dish, pizza, chips, desert, anything you would like and a drink to share.
This is a good time to meet other homeschoolers if you are new or if you are thinking about homeschooling next year. You can also bring any out door game you think the kids might like to play.
The older kids are also welcome to bring their water guns for a water battle, but, they must play away from the area that the younger kids are playing in.
All homeschoolers are welcome.
